I was recently listening to an interview with Oprah Winfrey about some of the things she’s learned from interviewing more than 30,000 guests during the 25 year run of her talk show. She said that one of the things she learned is that people get so stuck when it comes to failure. She said she’s found that failure is actually a good thing as it can be a sign from God that you have made a wrong decision and need to move in another direction. She said that we learn just as much from our failures as we do from our victories.

She went on to say that our life is bigger than any one experience or decision. When we get off course, and when we fail, it’s just a sign that we need to turn and go another way.

These words reminded me a lot of the scripture in Romans 8:28 that says that God works ALL things for the good of them who love him and who are called according to His purpose.

Are you stuck in a place where you’re afraid to make a decision because you’re afraid it could be the wrong one? I would like to encourage you to pray about it and just make a decision and move forward. If you find that you made the wrong decision, God is so gracious to use even that wrong decision to teach you, and He will get you back on the path that you need to go.

Stay close to Him and He will tell you the next step to take. Psalm 119:105 says “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path”. The lamp gives light only for the step in front of us….it doesn’t illuminate the entire road ahead. Be encouraged that God is walking the path with you and that He will still fulfill His purposes for your life, even if you fail along the way. ~ Vijoy
