I stood in my closet after getting ready for work. I looked up and had a conversation with the Lord.

“God, I need you. I need you to provide. Without your provision, I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do.” Then the thought came to me and I said it out loud. “Lord, I need a ram in the thicket.”

I’ve heard the story countless times. The story of Abraham and Isaac. Abraham is asked by God to offer a very unique sacrifice. His son, Isaac. After a three day journey, Abraham makes his way up Mount Moriah. When Abraham is just about to slay his son, “the angel of the Lord calls out to him….Do not lay a hand on the boy. Abraham looked up and there in the thicket, he saw a ram caught by its horns.”

Maybe, like me, you are in desperate need of God’s provision.

Be encouraged. God still provides.

By the end of the day, as I was walking to my car, I felt God’s presence and I had no doubt, the God I serve is the God Abraham served. And He is still Jehovah Jireh, the great provider.

I saw my ram that day and I pray you see yours too.

Genesis 22:14 “So Abraham called that place, Jehovah Jireh- The Lord will Provide”
