For my post today, I am going to talk about my favorite subject- ME!
Ok, this really isn’t my favorite subject. It’s probably my least favorite subject. I am not a good discusser of me. You know that whole thing about sitting in the hairdresser’s chair and spilling your secrets? Yeah, no. That doesn’t happen here.
I am actually a very private person. I am not on Instagram or Snapchat. I am barely on Facebook. My profile was created by a friend of mine, and my profile pictures are over a year old. The pictures of me or my family that you see are ones that other people have taken and posted. (That might also be due to my own laziness…) For those of you that are current on posting pictures and status updates, I applaud you. I strive to be like you. I admire your ability to share your life and thoughts with the world. I just don’t have those kind of guts.
Except for this forum. I post here weekly. I second guess everything I type. I re-write it at least 5 times, and when I hit the ‘post’ button, I have to close my eyes to do it. It is so far out of my comfort zone that I can’t even SEE my comfort zone from here. I do it because God does something supernatural with my words. I am amazed at the responses that we receive. God has used our page as a tool to touch and encourage so many lives- it’s been an amazing journey for us. And I am so thankful to be a small part of it.
I say all this to encourage YOU, my friend. You, too, have a story to share. You have been through trials and pains and you are still standing! That’s a testimony right there. I know that God has done some amazing things in your life as well, and it can be used to encourage someone else. Maybe you don’t want to post it on a public form for all the world to see. (I get it, trust me!) But I want to encourage you to share it with someone. Anyone.
In Revelation 12:10 it says
“Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say :’Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night has been hurled down. “
vs 11
“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony…”
There is power in your words. There is power in your testimony. It weakens our accuser bit by bit, and can strengthen so many others that might be going through the same struggles that you are going through or have already beat. There is strength there.
