When I was in college in the mid to late 90s my faith really became my own.  Before that, it was the faith of my parents and my upbringing in church that I would say was the main reason I was a Christian. 

But during those years when I was away from home and on my own, I leaned into God’s word, prayer, and the community of other believers so that I could know if I truly believed what I was taught.  That was when my faith really started to grow roots.  

During that time period there were worship songs that really spoke to my heart.  I hear those songs today and I am immediately transported back to that time when I was desperate to know God in a deep and meaningful way.  

I stumbled upon this worship set recently and I’ve had it on repeat for a few weeks now.  

It reminds me of that sweet time in my life when things were simpler and my heart was only longing to know God in such a pure way.  

I hope these songs encourage you today, and maybe remind you of the songs that bring you back to a sweet time you had in your journey to knowing God in a deeper way.
