In Titus 2:5, Paul encourages older women (that’s me ) to teach younger women (that might be you) how to ‘stay busy’ or as some translations put it, ‘maintain a home’…and girls, part of maintaining a home might involve a little cooking.

So, if you’re in need of a South Indian dinner idea, and you don’t want anything too heavy….don’t worry…I got you! ?

My life long friend, Shyni Ann Simon, shared this recipe with me years ago, when I first got married (which is also when I first started cooking ?). So if I can do this, you can too!!

It’s easy, it’s filling, and my family loves it!

• sauté well

Step 3: Add the following to above mixture:

•2 cans of garbanzo beans (drained & rinsed)

•1 Tsp cumin powder

•1/2-1 Tsp red pepper (or Indian chili powder)

• a handful of chopped cilantro

• 2 tomatoes (chopped) or a bunch of sliced cherry tomatoes

• 1-3 Tsp garam masala (approximately 2 Tsp fennel seeds, 1 clove, 1 cardamom- grind in a spice mill)
