My husband and I are trying to eat better. A few weeks ago, we went out to have steaks. When my husband was ordering his sides, he decided to skip the loaded baked potato that he would normally get, and he ordered a sweet potato instead (you know, to be healthier, while you’re eating steak).
One of my children is particularly “gifted” in asking for things from me. He will often ask me for something and when my initial answer is “no”, he proceeds to explain and persist, using all his reasoning and persuasive skills to try to change my mind. Most of the time, my answer remains the same.
