Have you ever felt things swirling around you and a loss of control due to the circumstances you are facing? We recently went through a big transition at work, and that is exactly how I felt. When I lay awake at night, here are a few things that I was reminded:
1. God is in control: This transition is no surprise for our Father, and He has only good things planned for our future (Jeremiah 29:11) . Let us “walk by faith, not by sight”, trusting in Him through this difficult time. (2 Cor 5:7)
2. We need’s God’s peace: Keep praying throughout the day for peace-“not as the world gives”, but the peace that Jesus promised us. (John 14:27). He wants to hear from you.
3. We are children of God: Our identity does not come from our workplace. Our identity comes from Jesus Christ. (John 1:12)
4. We serve God: We do not serve man, we serve Christ. Remember who our boss is: Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 6:7)
Whatever it is that you are facing today, be encouraged by these four points. Remember- you are chosen and highly favored and you are not alone. Jesus said that he will never leave us. That’s a promise.
