One of the Christmas traditions we cherished during childhood was Christmas caroling at the homes of our church members. Off-tune or not, there were smiles and giggles all around as 50 of us belted out our favorite songs.
The drummer kept us on rhythm, and the bells made the carols come alive. It was fun(ny) to see our parents and other adults in such a jovial mood, jumping and swaying to the rhythm of the music.
At one particular home, I could not wait for the snacks afterwards because one of the “aunties” (or women of the church) made a scrumtious pizza afterwards. I would always look forward to it.
It was no ordinary pizza- it was fruit pizza, and if you haven’t had it yet, you are missing out! But, don’t worry, I’ve got the recipe right here for you.
And if you’re worried about the overload of sweets, just remind yourself it’s chock full of fruits.
May you have a blessed Christmas season, and belt out those tunes without shame. We have a Savior to celebrate!
