As my children are getting ready to go back to school, I know there’s anxiety in this Mama’s heart regarding my children and the coming school year. So many thoughts and concerns swirl in my head.
But the one thing that always grounds me is the word of God. No matter how crazy the thoughts in my mind, I always find peace and calm in scripture.
So this past Sunday when our pastor prayed over the students returning to school in the fall, his declaration of the following powerful scriptures over them helped calm my fears and reassure me that my children will be okay.
As you send your children off to school this year, I want to encourage you to insert their names and declare these powerful scriptures over them.
Know that what you speak and declare is powerful.
Send them off this year with this mighty declaration and watch as they go out and make a positive impact wherever they go.
“You do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly
You do not stand in the path of sinners
You do not sit in the seat of the scornful
But your delight is in the word of the Lord
And in His word you meditate day and night
You will be like a tree planted by the rivers of living water
You will bring forth your fruit in its season
Your leaf will not wither
And whatever you do will prosper
You are the head and not the tail
Above only, and not beneath
You are blessed going out
You are blessed coming in
You can do all things through Christ who gives you strength
Greater is Jesus in you, than the devil that is in the world
You are the lender and not the borrower
And God has not given you a spirit of fear,
He has given you power, love, and a sound mind”
