As we head into fall and start to enjoy cooler weather, here’s a great recipe to add to your collection.  It’s a healthy and tasty version of chili that your family will enjoy. I made this for my family this week,  and even the kids were asking for seconds! – Vijoy

Here are the modifications I made:

– I browned the ground beef and ground chicken on the stove before adding to the crock pot in order to cut down on the cooking down.

– I used a green bell pepper instead of red, as our family likes the green ones better :)

-For my kids who don’t like it spicy, I only used 1 jalapeno with the seeds removed, instead of 2.  If you like it spicy, you should use 2 jalapenos.

-Instead of goat cheese, I used grated cheddar cheese when ready to serve

-I cooked everything on high in the crock pot for 4 hours instead of on low for 8 hours, since the meat was already browned ahead of time
