“The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul.  The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The commandments of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are clear, giving insight for living. They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.” (Psalms 19:7‭-‬8‭, ‬11 NLT)

I love these verses so much.  Each line is so simple, yet so rich in meaning.

God’s law is perfect.  It gives life to those who heed its instruction.

God’s law is trustworthy.  It makes the simple person wise.    

God’s law is right.  It brings joy to those who follow it.

God’s law is clear.  It gives us an understanding of how to live.

God’s law provides warnings for His people.  Those who follow it will reap the benefit from it.     

The God who knows all things gives us so much through His word.  And whether or not we believe it or agree with it, it still continues to work….Just as gravity continues to operate in the absence of belief.

If you have felt intimidated to read the Bible because it seems too difficult to understand, I want to encourage you that His word is living and active.  It will provide you exactly what you need when you read it.  And you will understand more than you think.

And in the process you will be transformed……Whether you want to or not.
