Have you ever been on cloud nine? Everything is going well, but then all of a sudden you can’t shake the somber feeling that comes over you? Nothing has changed, but you feel different and you don’t know why.

It happens to me every so often.  And sometimes it seems that there isn’t any way for that feeling to lift off of me.

Recently when I was experiencing this, I felt like I needed to just say the name of Jesus.  I decided to put on worship music that specifically called out the name of Jesus.  

And what happened after shouldn’t have surprised me, but it did.  

The heaviness lifted.  The fear quieted. And the peace of God settled on me.

It’s not something I practice enough in my daily life, but I recognized the just saying His name shifts something in the atmosphere like nothing else.

One of my favorite worship songs that I listen to during those times is Tremble by Mosaic MSC.  

These lyrics are so simple, yet so powerful.  It acknowledges that with just the name of Jesus, the darkness trembles, the raging sea is stilled, and fear is silenced.

On those days that I can’t shake the feeling of being overwhelmed, fearful, or anxious, I play this song and everything changes.  

Whenever you find yourself in a similar place, remember there is so much power in His name.  

When you call out His name, I believe the atmosphere will change for you as well.
